Welcome to Little Lamb Lane!We are a very small family-run business with big dreams of changing the baby, toddler, and children’s toy industry by making ALL toys both beautiful and educational.
As foster/bio-parents of our big and crazy family, we were so disappointed with the toys we were able to find for our littles.
Educational toys, that progressed the mental development of our children were often hideous, decor clashing, mess makers that emphasized non-core-building concepts and didn’t pave a natural path to real-world exploration beyond the bounds of an individual play session.
Stylish toys were much harder to find and once finally hunted down, were usually completely void of any educational component and often lacked the entertainment value that our kids preferred, leaving them as nothing more than beautiful dust collectors on the desks, bookshelves, and bedroom floors of our newly-bored babes.
Tired of the clutter and craving a solution that would stand up to all standards, we decided to draw a cute little sheep on some homemade flashcards, print them out with math problems, spelling words, and some little known facts, and hand sew a sheep to look like the one on the cards we created.
As if like magic, our clutter problem started to straighten itself out, as the old, primary-colored toys were replaced with new more stylish ones that allowed our children to both learn and play without any additional prompting from us.
Chemical-filled plastic puzzles were replaced with hand-carved wooden ones that naturally taught the concept of advanced shapes to our babies.
Overly-sexualized, commercial dolls were swapped out, for intricately hand-sewn, heirloom-quality dolls, with child-appropriate outfits, that tied directly into their flashcards and learning worksheets.
Boring and unused coloring books were soon donated, in favor of coloring sheets made out of the seasonal, learning-based adventures of their favorite new characters.
All was well in our little world, our kids loved their new toys, and we loved how our home looked again.
Friends began to take notice and asked if we could create toys for their children and expand our range of characters and subjects into lessons like Manners & Etiquette, Diversity & Inclusivity, Travel, STEM, Personal Hygiene, and even Peer Pressure & Bullying.
Today, Little Lamb Lane has become our family business and serves as a collection of educational toys, tools, apparel, and decor, that all revolve around our initial core concept of stylish, learning-inspired play.
For every one of our learning-based toys we sell, we donate a toy to an underfunded school in need.
